As the Yorkshire Dales’ premier agricultural show, Kilnsey Show has been marking the end of summer in the Dales since 1897.
Set in the picturesque village of Kilnsey under the shadow of the spectacular Crag, the diverse selection of trade stands, demonstrations, and amusements on the field ensures there’s something for everyone.
Kilnsey Show & Sports is home to a spectacular showcase of keenly contested livestock competitions, equine events and sheepdog trials, together with a fabulous display of baking, handicrafts, horticulture, and, of course, the famous Crag race.
Showcasing country life, farming, and traditions which have stood the test of time, alongside a taste of local cuisine and retail, the exciting annual show offers an enjoyable day out for families and friends of all ages.
Visitors can also enjoy a great selection of demonstrations and entertaining displays, including Sheep Shearing, Angling, Birds of Prey, Longton Sheepdogs and the exciting Speed Shear.
Over in the kids’ tent, children can enjoy a range of fun activities, including petting a lovely selection of smaller animals.
North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue, and the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association are all in attendance, too. They'll be happy to answer any questions you may have about the services and provide informative and compelling demonstrations.

As the livestock and showcase tents close to the public around 4.30pm, guests gather at the main ringside to watch the exciting Harness Racing (or Trotting) take place.
This exhilarating equestrian sport has been a much-loved end to the show day for many years. Why not add a little thrill to the afternoon, with friendly bets between family. Or, place a small wager with one of the onsite betting companies.
As much as we love dogs, for safety and insurance reasons, we operate a strict NO DOGS policy for visitors.
This policy applies to all areas of the showfield and the carparks. Please note that any cars with non-service dogs will be refused entry to the car parks.
Guide dogs and service dogs are welcome but are not permitted in the cattle tent.
