ENTRY FORMS ARE LIVE!
Following the recent release of the 2025 Show Schedule - packed with class information and inspiration - we're delighted to release this year's entry forms for all sections (excluding the crag races). Closing date is 4th August, so there's plenty of time to have a look through the class details and send in your entries. That said, if you already know which class you'd like to enter, there's no time like the present!! 👀 All entry forms can be downloaded from the competitions page of this website. Advance Notice: Kilnsey Show 2025.
For the benefit of exhibitors, advance notice of Adult Handicraft, Art & Photography classes are given below. The full schedule will be available on our website from 1st June 2025 and entries will open on the 16th June 2025. Alternatively, please contact the Secretary for a printed copy.
PHOTOGRAPHY - OPEN
Limited to one entry per exhibitor, per class. Entries must be taken by the exhibitor.
• Photograph, any subject, taken by child 16 years and under on Show Day (state age on entry form), colour or black/white, not to exceed 15cm x 20cm.
• Photograph including wheels (at least one), taken by child 16 years and under on Show Day (state age on entry form), colour or black/white, not to exceed 15cm x 20cm.
• Photograph, with caption, colour, or black/white, not to exceed 15cm x 20cm (excluding caption), must be suitable for hanging.
• Photograph entitled “All creatures great and small”. Colour only, not to exceed 15cm x 20cm.
• Photograph entitled “Rain or shine”. Colour only, not to exceed 15cm x 20cm.
ADULT HANDICRAFTS
All classes are open, limited to two entries per exhibitor, per class.
• A Christmas tree decoration, any medium
• A covered coat hanger
• An item incorporating beads
• Freestyle embroidery (size to be stated on entry)
• A soft toy, any medium
• A greetings card – any medium
• An item of feltwork, the size must be stated on the entry form
• An item of cross stitch or counted thread work
• A Knitted item made from a 50g ball of wool
• A hand-knitted adult garment
• An item knitted for Airedale General Hospital Baby Unit (item to be donated on show day)
• A colourful scarf
• A Lego model (not from a kit), not to exceed 30cm x 30cm, entrant must be 16 years or over.
• A piece of crochet work
• A handbag, any medium.
ART - OPEN
All exhibits must have been created by the exhibitor. Not to have been previously shown at Kilnsey Show. Limited to two entries, per exhibitor, per class. Photographs not to be submitted in these classes. Overall size must be stated on the entry form.
• Picture, any subject, in black & white.
• A coloured work mounted and/or framed.
• A mixed media picture.
CHILDRENS HORTICULTURE
Limited to one entry per exhibitor.
Grown and presented by child 7 years and under on Show Day
• A container of Cress
• Three Potatoes, one kind
• A Salad Vegetable
Grown and presented by child 8 to 16 years on show day
• Three Potatoes, one kind
• Three Tomatoes, one kind
• A Green Vegetable
• A miniature garden, not to exceed 30cm x 30xcm
